The pandemic has hit our industry hard, with salon owners realising they have had to re-evaluate their businesses and look at alternative ways to work. They are now looking for something different from their software system from what they required pre-pandemic.
Listening To Feedback
The team at iSalon have listened to salon owners’ feedback and comments and have worked with their needs in mind to create an updated version that meets and exceeds their requirements.
As we know, due to COVID, contact with clients must be kept to a minimum. iSalon launched their innovative ‘PayByLink’ feature last year following the first wave of the pandemic.
About The Pay by Link
If you don’t know, it allows salon owners to send a link via text message to clients to enable them to use their own device to pay for their appointment whilst in the salon. This can be for them to pay their deposit whilst they’re at home, or to pay for their services whilst in the salon to further reduce contact even more in comparison to the contactless card payment option.
Six months on and the ‘PayByLink’ feature has undergone some updates. Now when you send your client a link to pay as a deposit for their service, it will only be valid for thirty minutes and it will expire if not paid within this time. Time is an invaluable commodity to salon owners and stylists, and this update will help to give you an instant decision from your client to allow you to reopen that appointment or mark it as confirmed in your diary.
Along with a mission to be more sustainable, when you submit a PayByLink bill it will not print a receipt instead, it will send over an email receipt to your clients email address.
