Cysteic Acid?
Created by hair that’s taken on too much oxygen, cysteic acid makes hair resistant, hard to comb through, and over absorb colour.
FBR doesn’t create a barrier like water does, which can dilute anything applied subsequently, and it even combats resistance in grey hair to colour. It also contains Disodium EDTA , a chelating agent which is often found in clarifying shampoos. It works by searching out metals in the hair created by free radicals from things like copper pipes. It encapsulates the metal, then washes it out of the hair. Often it’s impossible to tell whether the hair contains these metals until it causes a problem during colouring, creating heat, swelling, and damage.
