Fudge Professional Ambassador Jonathan Andrew on TV BAFTA grooming for Romesh Ranganathan.
At this year’s TV BAFTAs Fudge Professional Global Ambassador Jonathan Andrew looked after show host Romesh Ranganathan as well as a worthy BAFTA award winner for Comedy entertainment program for “Rob and Romesh Vs…”.
“I’ve worked with Romesh for a few years now, so it was great to be backstage at the TV BAFTAS with him. Romesh has amazing naturally curly hair, so it was a joy to work with a naturally textured male for a change. He has a structured cut slightly tapered towards the bottom of the sides and back,”- Jonathan.
Inspo
For styling I wanted to create something that had the outline of a classic shape drawing inspiration from the Tom Ford catwalks and classic Hollywood cinematography to give a masculine edge, but I wanted to utilise the natural texture of his hair and enhance and embrace this to keep his individuality.
Salt Spray
To do this I opted for Fudge Professional Salt Spray as it would allow me some hold and grip but also support the texture, and then I styled this using some Fudge Professional Matte Hed. The great thing about Matte Hed, is that it gives a luxe finish to classic styles, and less is more on this look, so it was just enough hold to keep everything in place. To set the final style in place, I used Fudge Professional Texture Spray, the reason for this was that I wanted it to still have flexibility and movement but to stay in the overall shape I was aiming for to create his unique and award-winning style.”
