#SBAwards Green Salon Category: What The Judges Are Looking For
Since the inception of Salon Business Awards six years ago, they’ve got bigger, and better with standards continuing to rise year after year. The Grand Final has also outgrown its venue once again and will be moving to Mayfair to takeover the extravagantly adorned Quaglino’s in June 2020. We want to help you to be part of it! If you’re thinking about entering our Green Category, then check out who it’s for and what our judges are looking for below.
The Green Salon Category
This award is for the salon that has a sustainable ethos in everything it does. This will include sourcing sustainable materials for everything used in the salon – from furniture to disposable towels.
Who can enter UK based salons that offer hair services.
How To Enter
Entrants will need to submit digital photographs of their salon with their entry, as well as detailing all of the green initiatives they have set into place with dates and a brief explanation about why taking these measures is important to them. The winner will be selected by our judging panel in two stages.
What The Judges Are Looking For
– A broad range of environmentally-friendly initiatives
– Evidence of an environmentally-friendly ethos that crosses all areas of the salon including the attitude of staff
– An awareness of new innovations that could be adopted into the salon to build on its green credentials
