New Pink RUSH Salon

New Pink RUSH Salon
Sam Robinson

Known for their creative work, incredible passion and continuous commitment to the hairdressing industry, RUSH Hair has been at the forefront of hairdressing since 1994.

Pushing Boundaries

The team have continuously pushed the boundaries of the craft, providing their team with both creative and management opportunities with the team training thousands of hairdressers over the last 28 years as well as a host of other opportunities in their salons across the South.

Future

Positively looking to the future, their first new salon post pandemic has now opened in Brighton and marks a new chapter for the brand. Located in the hustle and bustle of Brighton town centre, the new RUSH salon situated on Duke Street is a very different vibe from the traditional black and white livery that we have come to expect from RUSH salons. RUSH have created a salon that is fresh, vibrant and all shades of pink. 1100 square feet of salon, evenly distributed over two floors, incorporating many bespoke features to give the space a contemporary and comfortable feel, designed to provide an exceptional client journey.

New Era

The salon itself is very much a forward thinker. The team created this salon to mark a new era and to take clients on a new contemporary salon journey. Rush would describe it as influential, inviting, fun, bright and completely unique. This is new RUSH.

Pink Salon

The colour scheme in the salon is pink – completely different from what RUSH has used before. The team wanted to try something new and evolve ahead of the modern day. The pink is such a positive and inviting colour, something thtat has been incorporated fully into the design. It reflects the fun, bright and creative colours that can be seen on every street corner of Brighton today. A pink and white stick of Brighton rock seen at the pier was just the start of the inspiration!

Lighting

The lighting was a big part of the design process, as it was important to ensure this was exactly as the team imagined it and that it worked for the stylists, the clients and the overall vision for the brand. The lighting was to give the team a ‘true to tone’ feel – meaning what they see in the salon is exactly what they see when they leave – there is no light enhancing or extreme changes when they step out of the salon, everything is true to life. Next up, the flooring which is made of hard wearing limestone tiles. .These are stain resistant to hair colour, swept and cleaned easily, quiet and durable.

Tech

Realising the importance of technology to every individual’s life, Magsafe wireless charging stations are to be installed, allowing complimentary wireless charging for all, meaning clients can relax and unwind whilst their technology is being looked after too. The team also installed a one-way image mirror to the spa window meaning that clients can watch the hustle and bustle of the colourful Brighton streets, with passers by unable to look in – creating a private and relaxed feel.

BOSE Music System

Throughout the salon RUSH have installed a BOSE Music System with XO Music Management. Music is a huge part of salon life and the team wanted to make sure it was very prominent in their vision for Brighton. Customised playlists are adapted to the day, the weather and the vibe within the salon – this can be tailored to busy salon Saturdays, relaxed afternoons or a real mix.
