KIKU Salon’s Innovative Philosophy

KIKU Salon’s Innovative Philosophy
Sam Robinson

Inverness is fast becoming a hub for hairdressing innovation, thanks to KIKU Salon.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Paul Ralph and Creative Director Hiro Kudo, KIKU is carving out a distinct identity in Scotland’s competitive hair scene, combining technical mastery, international expertise, and a philosophy-driven approach to create hair that is both precise and expressive.

KIKU
The name KIKU is inspired by the Japanese verb meaning “to listen”, a principle that underpins everything the salon does. Every consultation, cut, and colour begins with understanding the client’s hair, lifestyle, and individual style. This thoughtful approach informs every decision the team makes, ensuring results that are both creative and considered.

“Listening is at the heart of our work but it’s also about collaboration. Every stylist at KIKU brings their own expertise, and together we create hair that is expressive, precise, and tailored to the individual,”
– Paul Ralph.
