COULD IT BE YOU?

COULD IT BE YOU?
Joanne Charlton

This year the L’Oréal Colour Trophy reaches an all-important milestone, celebrating a hugely impressive 60th Anniversary making it the longest running live hairdressing competition in the world.

It will prove to be a year to remember with a calendar of events that will celebrate L’Oréal Professionnel’s partnership with the best of British Hairdressing. So if you too share a passion for colour, fashion, hairdressing and aren’t afraid of a little competition then why not enter this year’s event – who knows this could be your year!

The competition is open now and entry is simple, as once again you can enter on line via www.lorealcolourtrophy.com where you’ll find the full entry dossier and the seven simple steps you need to enter.

The dedicated website also contains an inspirational gallery of images and videos showcasing the current winner and their amazing journey since the Grand Final in 2014, to inspire you to be part of it this year. Salons have only 60 days to submit their photographic entries by Friday, February 27.

There are 4 categories including L’Oréal Colour Trophy, L’Oréal Men’s Image Award, L’Oréal Colour Trophy Young Colourist Award and the Mizani Afro Look Award. The entry criteria plus rules and regulations for each award are contained in the dossier.

Once submitted, all entries will be judged by the hairdressing industry’s most iconic names including, Brooks & Brooks, Richard Ward and Ken Picton and successful salons for each category will be invited to attend one of the Regional Events. These successful salons will be announced on line on the March 6. The Regional Events will take place from April 12 in eight venues across the UK.

“Winning an award at the Colour Trophy demonstrates not only technical skills and a good eye for hair fashion trends, but dedication, and excellent teamwork and is a real badge of honour for every winning salon,” says Tasha & Megan Stevens from Jamie Stevens, London Winners of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2014.

The L’Oréal Colour Trophy also offers the winners a year of “money can’t buy” opportunities including an exclusive three day European trip to shoot the winning look and a photo shoot with a leading consumer glossy magazine for 2016, plus numerous PR opportunities throughout the year.

The event will climax at the Grand Final event to be held on June 1 at Battersea Evolution.
