ALL A MIRAGE

ALL A MIRAGE
Rebecca Parker

New for SS17, Blue Tit London has revealed its latest colouring technique: Miraging.

Created by Blue Tit Directors Perry Patraszewski and Andi Hinteregger, along with Stylist, Bradley Stratton, the colouring technique, draws inspiration from the apocalypse, and was developed in response to the growing trend for multiple colours, allowing a variety of artful hues to be created with an earthy and otherworldly effect.

Miraging is a blend of vibrant or contrasting colour patterns within the hair, concealing them with a veil of a natural base created by taking a section around the parting, using it to ‘mirage’ the colours underneath.

Colours can be soft and natural – with subtle flashes of pastels that are blended through, or more dramatic, using eye-catching bright colours to create interesting patterns and panels that change when the hair moves.

“This trend is set to be huge as it allows people to express themselves in a creative way. The colours can be brought out or hidden depending on the chosen hairstyle,” says Perry Patraszweski:

“It is also a very easy technique to follow and can be adapted by the stylist for the client. This technique will suit both commercial and creative consumers, taking into consideration the haircut and length. It all depends on the colour tones used and what effect they want to achieve.”
