CHARITY BALL
It was a night to remember for Brentwood salon Spargo Hairdressing, whose charity ball raised a fantastic £5491.55 for Great Ormond Street and Essex County NHS Hospitals radiotherapy and chemo ward.
Held at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club, 150 guests, all clients and friends of the salon enjoyed a welcome drink in the sunshine while Will Childs sang, followed by a three course meal, accompanied by a live saxophonist.
Acting as double celebration, the ball also marked 10 years since owner Ian Marshall opened his first salon.
“When you’re ill and have seen the dedication of staff first hand it seems natural to do something to make sure others get the same level of support,” says organisers Julie Day and Rhian Holmwood.
