20 years ago Alternative Hair Show President Anthony Mascolo founded the International Visionary Award – an annual global hair competition.

It has continued to grow in strength and popularity over the years, establishing the awards with world-renowned status and a firm legacy. The International Visionary Award enables Hairdressers worldwide to gain international recognition for their creative talent and vision. 

Sharing Creative Ideas
The awards were designed to create a platform where new emerging talent could share their creative ideas.  Anthony says the award is about “Being perceived as the extraordinary, and an inner desire to go beyond the boundaries of normality. Daring to express your visions, allowing your inner ambitions and vulnerability of being exposed.”

Live Presentation
This year the successful Finalists selected in each category will be invited to appear in the International Visionary Award presentation live at the Alternative Hair Show on Sunday 13th October 2024 at the Roundhouse, Camden Town in London.
