Wella TrendVision Finalists Announced

Wella TrendVision Finalists Announced
Fiona Ward

The Wella Professionals TrendVision Award UK Regional Heats have been taking place across the UK for the last few weeks, and Britain’s top talent has now been chosen to compete at the UK & Ireland Final in October 2016, in one of the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious competitions.

From hundreds of entries 144 entrants were selected to present at the UK Regional Heats and now only 40 finalists will go on to fight to win the chance to represent the UK at the TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final in 2016.

Each year, entrants are required to submit a photographic entry in either the Color Vision or, NEW for 2016, the Creative Vision category. Once chosen at the photographic heat they then competed in the four date tour in Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham and London and finally it will go to Ireland on 28 August 2016.

The competitors were judged by some of the most highly regarded industry experts* including Daniel Couch, Russell Eaton, Joseph Ferraro, HALO, Linda Stewart, Rainbow Room International, Bruno Marc, Marc Antoni and Leslie Hunter at Frances Hunter Hairdressing.

Providing a chance for salon teams to go along and cheer on the finalists, the UK and Ireland Regional Heats are also an ideal opportunity to be inspired with the latest looks from some of the industry’s biggest names.

The UK heats saw Bruce Masefield and Edward Darley of Sassoon Academy showcase their new Kidhood Collection. Paul Adamczuk and Danny Dowie from Cheynes Hairdressing presented their latest  collection while Jon Wilsdon, TONI&GUY, Luke Benson, D&J Ambrose, Amelia Evans, HOB Salons, Peter Burkill, HOB Academy and Altin Ismaili, Marc Antoni formed A Fusion of Creative Talent to present the Autumn/Winter Trends for 2016. The Irish heat will also see Sassoon Academy in addition to the Style Council presenting the Autumn/Winter trends.

All those fortunate enough to make it through to the UK and Ireland TrendVision Award Final will be hoping they will wow the judges for a chance to represent the UK and Ireland at the International TrendVision Award in Barcelona in November.
