Step By Step: The Perfect Party Season Pony

Step By Step: The Perfect Party Season Pony
Sam Robinson

With Spectrum One Hair Extensions ‘Power Pony Clip-In’, RRP £22, getting a ‘perfect party season ponytail’ has never been easier.

Have you ever wondered how your favourite influencers and celebrities seem to have amazing, full ponytails that you can never seem to emulate with your own styling no matter how many tricks you try?

The answer is a pony tail hair piece that stays in place come rain, shine, wind or snow, and looks good all night long no matter how many hours you’re on the dancefloor!

Step 1
Part your hair to your preferred parting style; middle, side, or no parting by smoothing your hair all back. Leave a section of hair out at the front hairline to style later.

Step 2
Apply a small amount of your favorite mousse or gel, I use the O&M Rootalicious Root Lift Mousse, then slick your hair back into a mid-length ponytail and secure it with a hair tie. Then hook and wrap a bungee band around the pony for extra support.

Step 3
Next we braid the ponytail and twist it into
a tight bun. Braiding the ponytail helps the
hair stay in place firmly and acts as extra
support for the Power Pony Clip-In to attach.

Step 4
We then secure the bun with bobby pins to
keep it firmly in place.

Step 5
Attach the Power Pony Clip-In by securing
the comb grips firmly into the base of the
bun.

Step 6
Wrap the thin part of the Power Pony
Clip-In around the hair tie to conceal it
and secure the end in with bobby pins.
Spray the wrap with hairspray, I use O&M’s
Queenie Hairspray to seal the ends down.

Step 7
Finish the look by smoothing the pony
with O&M’s Frizzy Logic Hair Oil, or a hair
oil of your choice, for extra shine along
with another spritz of O&M’s Queenie
Hairspray to tame any fly-aways.
