Rush Celebrate 25 Years of Success

Rush Celebrate 25 Years of Success
Sam Robinson

25 years ago, Co-Founders and joint CEOs Andy Phouli and Stell Andrew, opened their first salon in Wimbledon with a dream to make their mark on the hairdressing industry. Fast forward 25 years and they have created the fastest growing salon group in the UK – the total shortly to reach 100 salons strong from the North of England to the South West of the country.

Award Winning

Rush have won multiple awards for their creativity and business acumen, they have developed an in-house training system that continually produces exceptional hairdressers, The Rush Academy is an inspirational and unique training academy in the heart of London, where hairdressers from all over the world come to learn ‘The Rush Way” and they have provided a lifelong career path for many team members.

Andy + Stell

Throughout the 25 year’s, Andy and Stell’s passion for Rush and the hairdressing industry has never faltered. Regardless of growing the company at an awe-inspiring rate (in one year they opened 12 salons), it still to this day feels like a family business, with Stell, Andy and the fellow directors getting to know the team, looking after the company as a whole, and making sure Rush meets and exceeds the needs of their clients and team alike.

Creativity + Business

They have successfully managed to fuse creativity with business and acknowledge that both have been equally important in the development of the Rush brand. “I love working with the different sectors of our business,” says Stell. “Looking at the bigger picture, and when it all comes together it’s very special. I work closely with the entire Rush team at all levels to make sure they have their own individual Rush journey and ensure they feel part of our future plans. Seeing people grow, develop and become successful within Rush is incredibly satisfying.”

The Future

The future looks bright for Rush. “We are continually developing what we do, “ adds Andy. “We recently launched our Colour Artists campaign, which has increased our colour business and one key aspect of the campaign was to provide our clients with more clarity and a better understanding of our colour services. We also trained Colour Artists in each salon to ensure our team are educated to the highest standards and are true experts in what they do.”

Training School

With the Rush Artistic Team picking up various awards both in the UK and internationally annually and the Rush Academy educating students from the four corners of the world, Rush is a creative force to be reckoned with. Their home- grown talent, brought through the ranks at their own training school ensure the future growth of Rush is in safe hands. With plans to open new Rush salons throughout the UK, the brand is set for another 25 years of success.
