The PROJECT SASSOON Team Day was led by Project Leader and Creative Director, Damien Peers and Riess Hatcher, Assistant Colour Director at Sassoon Academy and was held in the Electric Space in London. They started the day with an introduction to Sassoon, its culture and techniques. Followed by a demo from Damien on cutting and styling the Sassoon Bob! Mark Hayes, International Creative Director from Sassoon also popped along to say hello to the team.

Workshop

The CLUBSTAR ART TEAM Team Day was led by new Project Leader Jamie Benny, together with Andrew Plester from the Hare & Bone Art Team and took place at the Hare & Bone salon in London. The day consisted of a Creative Workshop, working on live models and mannequins.

History

Commenting on the team days, Project Team Member Cheryl Poulter said, “The first day of Project Sassoon was fab. The other team members were so friendly. Damien gave us a potted history of Sassoon and explained the theory behind their cutting training, finishing up with a cutting demo of a perfect, Sassoon Bob. Meeting Mark Hayes, Sassoon International Creative Director was a highlight for me. He chatted to us about his time working with the man himself, Vidal Sassoon. It was absolutely fascinating and very inspiring.”

The Day

Clubstart Art Team Team Member Olivia Brady said, “The first day with Jamie and the rest of the Hare & Bone team was amazing. It was nice to see everyone and gel and to also get down to why we were there. Jamie talked us through some amazing segments that allowed us to communicate with one another, sharing our opinions, and to be truthful with ourselves about why we were on Clubstar Art Team, and where we want our careers to go. Jamie was supportive, when he needed to be, and pushed us when WE needed it.”
