Aveda Guest Artist Frank Rizzieri of Rizzieri Salon and Spa created a captivating tribute to the iconic 1990’s fashion era for the Tibi Spring Summer 2024 runway show.

Models walked the runway showcasing that beautifully dishevelled look that defined the era. The textured waves, natural curls and braided hair were made to look as if you had just left a great workout and threw in a headband to finish the days errands.

Perfect Blend
“Creating the hair look for Tibi’s latest collection was like time-traveling to the iconic 90s capturing that effortlessly cool vibe that’s a relevant today as it was back then. It’s all about the perfect blend of grit and glamour, a style that’s ready to conquer both the runway and the streets. I’m thrilled to showcase how Aveda’s hero products can help effortlessly channel that nostalgic era into your daily life”- Rizzieri.

Products 
To achieve the look, Frank started by treating the scalp with Aveda Scalp Solutions Refreshing Protective Mist, lightly misting onto the scalp to provide an all-day antioxidant and sebum control, prepping the scalp for styling.

He then used the Aveda Volumizing Tonic™, adding to dry hair at the root and blow drying it in to give the style a nice grip to start. Once the hair was dried, for straight hair, he added a soft bend using a one-and-a-half-inch barrel iron and lightly wrapping the mid-section of the hair around for just a brief second.

Once the perfect 90s texture was achieved, Aveda Light Elements™ Texturizing Cream was added to give the hair a perfect gentle texture. To help control fly aways Aveda Botanical Repair™ Bond-building Styling Creme was added as a veil. This versatile product leaves the hair feeling soft and smooth, while bond-building molecules add strength and protect the hair from thermal damage. To finalize the look Aveda Air Control™ Light Hold Hair Spray was misted over to seal.

Natural Hair
For the models showcasing their beautiful natural hair, Frank began the styling process using Aveda Botanical Repair™ Bond-building Styling Creme then added Aveda Volumizing Tonic™ or Aveda Nutriplenish™ Curl Gelee to the hair, depending on which formula was best suited for their individual texture. Finally, the hair was then diffused for natural curl or braided. Select models looks were finished with a thin black head band to add a layer of casual chic.

The Tibi Spring Summer 2024 runway look seamlessly transitions from runway to the real world making it easy to embrace the spirit of the 90s with this latest hard trend from the iconic era.
