Leah Durrant Hair Salon & Beauty Re-Treat Celebrates
It was a weekend of celebrations for the Leah Durrant Hair Salon & Beauty Re:Treat team, as they held a surprise event for Co Director of the Salon, Andrew Durrant, to mark his importance in the business and Co Director, Leah Durrant, buying him out.
Celebrating Andrew
For Leah and the rest of the team the event was to celebrate Andrew and all the hard work he has done for the business throughout the years and the fantastic things he done for the community too. Although Leah has now bought Andrew out the business, he will still be working in the salon two days a week but he had decided it was the right time for him to retire from the business.
Inside The Event
The event, held at Ohana’s Bistro, a local café bistro located opposite the salon, was a fantastic success with original staff, old staff that had worked with Andrew from the original days, old and new clients (with some clients that have been going to the salon for 45 years) along with family members and local bloggers attending the event. There was approximately 50 people at the event and The Mayor or Runnymede and the Rotary Club were also delighted to attend the event. There was a steel band, photo booth and sweet cart, as well as t-shirts with Andrew on them for all the staff to wear and a lovely guest book for everyone to sign.

Leah Durrant, Owner and Director of Leah Durrant Hair Salon and Beauty Re:Treat commented, “We had an absolutely incredible evening celebrating Andrew at Ohana’s Bistro. Andrew first opened the salon in September in 1973 and since has grown it to become the longest running salon and only award winning salon in Chertsey. He has done so much for the business over the years and also the community, being a chamber of commerce. We were delighted to throw this surprise party for him and we’re so glad he and all the guests who attended had a fantastic time. We’re excited to see what he future holds for our Leah Durrant salon!”
