Haringtons Celebrates 40 Years of Excellence in Hairdressing
Haringtons, one of the UK’s most respected salon groups, proudly marks a significant milestone this November as it celebrates 40 years of excellence in the hairdressing industry.
In 1984, Robert Smith founded Haringtons at their flagship salon in Maidenhead, and then expanded by merging with salons operated by David Lambert. Over the last four decades, the brand has evolved from one modest 12-seat salon into a powerhouse of innovation and style across the Home Counties, renowned for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The group has salons in Amersham, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Marlow, Wendover, Winchester, and Wokingham.
People-First
At the core of Haringtons’ enduring success is its people-first philosophy, which extends beyond just the team: “Our core is our people, and that includes our clients. That’s who we are,” says Robert Smith.
Free Cut & Finish
Haringtons takes pride in supporting their communities through Haringtons Helps, an initiative which offers free Cut and Finish services to those in need. This programme serves to uplift community leaders, recognise dedicated volunteers, provide a confidence boost for job seekers, or support those recovering from chemotherapy. This positive effort makes for a close bond between Haringtons and the community.
Accolades
Haringtons has enjoyed plenty of creative and business success over its four-decade life. The salon has achieved notable recognition at prestigious events, including the British Hairdressing Awards and the L’Oréal Colour Trophy, and was named one of the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For. Additionally, Haringtons has triumphed in various business categories, such as Best Marketing Campaign at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the industry.
