The Fellowship’s famous Masterclasses have undergone a transformation and are now bigger and better than ever before; introducing Hair & Vision. The first of the new events was rolled out recently at Sway in London – kicking off in style with Angelo Seminara as the headline act.

About Hair & Vision

Hair & Vision delivers all the elements of the Fellowship masterclasses that the industry loves, but with an injection of extra inspiration and more profound and fascinating insight into the famous names on the bill. These sessions have always been about contemporary hairdressing visionaries presenting their best work to the industry and Hair & Vision London was no exception.

The Entertainment

With such a stellar and diverse line-up, the audience were treated to a bit of everything. From 90’s Latino pop culture vibes from Luke Benson, to incredible seashell texture from Tina Farey, to afro perfection from Junior Green; the level of work across the masters was incredible.

New Concept

The Fellowship’s new Live Lounge concept made its highly anticipated comeback on the evening, with Angelo taking the hot seat with President Karine Jackson to share his life and career history to the audience, reflecting on his first ever hairdressing job in London with Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden, which he revealed was one of the best experiences of his life.

A Word From Angelo

“I grew up in a small town in Southern Italy, where everyone knows each other. I didn’t really see a future there unless I was going to become a fisherman!” says Angelo,
“To explore my craft, I wanted to come to London. The UK has always been at the forefront of the hairdressing world, with the likes of Vidal Sassoon and Raymond Bessone.”

He went on to share funny stories about his early days in hairdressing, including one client’s mousse-heavy blow-dry that lasted a month and a half, and talked about how everything in the world of nature fuels the majority of his inspiration and creations. He closed the evening with a model presentation, showcasing a graphic but wearable colour technique inspired by optical illusion artist Bridget Riley.

A Brilliant Event

“Hair & Vision was brilliant from start to finish,” says Karine, “It was the first time we’ve hosted the revamped Masterclass in its new guise as Hair & Vision and, not surprisingly with our unmissable line-up of guest artists, the event was sold out! Our headliner Angelo Seminara thrilled the audience with an array of different styles and it was an honour to interview him. He is truly humble and a master of our craft!”
