DOUBLE CELEBRATIONS FOR GRIFFINS AS THE SALON SCOOPS TWO REGIONAL AWARDS

DOUBLE CELEBRATIONS FOR GRIFFINS AS THE SALON SCOOPS TWO REGIONAL AWARDS
Sam Robinson

It’s a week of celebrations for Birmingham based salon Griffins as the team scooped two awards at this years West Midlands Salon Awards. Held at the prestigious Crowne Plaza in Birmingham, the West Midlands Salon Awards celebrated the best in the region with 10 categories such as Best Salon, Best Customer Experience and Best Salon Team.

Entry Requirements

To enter the awards, salons were asked to answer a series of questions, providing images and evidence to back up their entry whilst providing client testimonials to prove their ability and skills. Once submitted, the entries were then judged by an exclusive panel of hairdressing icons from around the UK. Finalists for each category were announced and each finalist was invited along to the glittering awards ceremony.

The Awards

Upon arrival at the awards, the Griffins team were greeted with a glittering cocktail reception, followed by a three course dinner before the winners were announced. Hosted by hairdressing icon Errol Douglas, the anticipation was building as team Griffins awaited the announcement of the winners. To their delight, they were announced as the winners of Creative Image of the Year and Best Salon for Extensions.

Truly Honoured

Commenting on their win, Michelle Griffin, Owner of Griffins and CEO of Loxbox Extensions said, “When they announced us winners of two awards we were absolutely ecstatic. To be recognised for your skill, passion and commitment to the hairdressing industry is incredible and myself and the team are truly honoured.”

Real Difference

Kate Jeffery – Salon Awards Director said “The second stop for 2019 on the Salon Awards calendar was a great success, and the enthusiasm and support from everyone has been amazing. I started these awards to be able to give all salons and hair professionals the chance to compete for an industry award, and do something great for themselves or their business. When we have salons competing, and winning, who are located in some of the most deprived areas of the country, this is something that can make a real difference. This for me underlines how important offering this opportunity is, not only for the industry, but to those who make it what it is.”
