CONTEMPORARY CHOICE
Sunday February 5 saw the Contemporary salon group’s annual awards take place at Middlesbrough’s Brasserie Hudson Quay. Recognising the biggest achievers and success stories from the company’s nine salons, accolades included ‘Hairdresser of the Year’ and ‘Salon of the Year’.
Attendees started the evening with a champagne reception before the Contemporary Art Team took to the stage to present their latest work, titled ‘Mutiny’. Following the awards presentations guests enjoyed a three course meal before taking to the dance floor for an exciting afterparty.
Two of the biggest awards on the night went to the group’s popular Darlington salon, which opened in 2013. Amanda Day was named Manager of the Year while the salon scooped the prestigious Salon of the Year title. Hairdresser of the year was awarded to Stephen Chapman from Harrogate and Art/Style Director of the year went to Jessica Taylor from Guisborough.
