XPOSURE is Wella Professionals nationwide student hairdressing competition. Being a great success for over five years now, the competition gives students the opportunity to unleash their competitive edge.
Mia Dellicompagni and Anya Dellicompagni of Francesco Group are the competition ambassadors for XPOSURE and said: “XPOSURE is a unique competition that gives the future of our industry a true taste of competition work.
“It allows a fantastic platform for our next generation to show off their skill set, highlighting the truly fantastic education system we’ve set up for British hairdressing. This is paramount in the development of our industry, constantly growing the standards and evolving techniques in hairdressing. For a student to experience XPOSURE is priceless!”
“For 2016, Wella Professionals has introduced two new categories to the competition, the College Category and the Private Training Academy Category. The two new categories will open up so much opportunity for more students to be part of XPOSURE and go head to head with other competitors with a similar experience level.
“There is also an amazing mentoring day with a top hairdressing icon up for grabs for all UK Final winners across both categories for 2016. Once again, Gold Winners will also have the opportunity to work backstage at the TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final 2016.”
The XPOSURE Gold Winner 2015, Danielle Cooper of Jet Hairdressing Academy had the opportunity to work backstage at the TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final at the RoundHouse in London. Watch her experience here.
Danielle got lots of advice and tips from Patrick Cameron himself on hair-up techniques while working on his Riviera Show backstage. Since winning her award, she’s had a promotion in the salon and can now charge more per client for her services.
“I’ve gained so much experience entering and winning XPOSURE for future competitions and I’m planning on entering Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2016 now. I would advise any student at the beginning of their career to enter XPOSURE. My experience was absolutely fantastic and my advice would be to make sure you get yourself a good model that really complements your look.”
