Skegness hairdresser gets the GOLD!
After an incredibly difficult year, Darrel Starkey from Taylor’s Hair Studio in Skegness is celebrating today having won four regional award as well as finalising for an international award within the hairdressing industry.
Rising Star
Darrel who is a rising star within the hairdressing industry was delighted to be announced as a Winner of the Colourist of the Year, Future Talent, Stylist of the Year and Creative Image of the Year at the Lincolnshire Salon Awards – a ceremony which celebrates the talent and passion for the hairdressing industry in each regional county. Having been listed as a finalist back in September, Darrel was over the moon to be announced as the winner of four categories at the awards.
Winning 4 Categories
“To win four categories is truly unbelievable, I am absolutely overwhelmed. I love everything about the hairdressing industry and strive for nothing but perfection within the craft. I am so proud!” Darrel said.
AIPP Awards
As well as the regional awards, Darrel was also over the moon to find out that he has finalised for this years AIPP Awards, an international awards group which honours and rewards the creativity and skill of hairdressers across the world. Darrel was announced as a finalist of the AIPP Best Colour category alongside an exceptional list of international colourists.
Trend-Led
Darrel’s creative hairstyling and exceptional skill ensured his photographic work stood out from the rest. Now, Darrel must wait for the final judgement which is due in 2021, in the hope of catching the judges’ imagination and hearts further with his expanded trend-led collection.
