Andrew Collinge in Liverpool Photographic Exhibition
Andrew Collinge was recently photographed by Viktorija Grigorjevaite for an exhibition aimed to inspire the business pioneers of tomorrow. The exhibition, curated by Sane Seven Photography and Production entitled ‘Beyond the Desk’, uses unique portraiture to break the traditional stereotypes normally associated with business leaders, aiming to bridge the gap between established leaders, aspiring entrepeneurs and young people entering the world of business.
Marius Janciauskas, the initiator behind the exhibition, said: “the goal of the project was to invite young people to reflect on their career choices and their entrepreneurial potential by showing that behind all the numbers and titles, business leaders are the same humans with real emotions, hobbies, interests and stories that are not too dissimilar from those that many start-ups are just beginning to tell.”
Andrew was in good company as portraits included Sir Terry Leahy, former CEO of Tesco, Steve George Davis of Next, George at Asda and Per Una fame and Peter Moore, COO of Electronic Arts to name but a few. Always keen to promote hairdressing as a strong career option, along with the benefits of apprenticeships within the industry and to support the local community, Andrew was delighted to be part of the exhibition, which was located outside Liverpool Lime Street Station and Liverpool one for the duration of the International Festival of Business.
Photographer, Viktorija Grigorjevaite said, “I loved creating Andrew’s portrait. He’s a very charismatic individual. I knew from the start that I wanted to create something more fun and relaxed but I didn’t know how open he would be to less conventional ideas but. Luckily, it didn’t take long before we found some common ground and he started pulling various expressions and grimaces quite comfortably. I just had to make sure some of that got captured on camera. I really love the end result.”
