Step up
Up and comer Ollie Vines has enjoyed an inspirational day with Wella as part of the educational year he won thanks to Step Up & Shine – a joint initiative between The National Hairdressers Federation and The Fellowship for British Hairdressing.
Ollie, who’s from Heaven Hair in Salisbury, chose a Wella Essential Colour course as one of several Step Up & Shine training days he’s attending this year.
“I’m passionate about colour, so this was the ideal day for me,” he said. “We went right back to basics and it really helped me understand why we we apply specific colour to get a certain result and the effects of porosity and hair texture. We got loads of tips, too.”
Ollie and his fellow Step Up & Shine Scholarship winner Hannah Pettinger from NJUK Beautiful Hair in Chesterfield are benefitting from £2,500 worth of bespoke education each, after the scholarship was launched last year in memory of industry legend Christofer Mann.
The search for a new 2015 recipient will launch on October 15.
