The Scottish Styles Awards: Hair By Rainbow Room International
On Saturday 31st March Rainbow Room International attended the 10th annual Scottish Style Awards, where they were honoured to be official sponsors and asked to style the hair for the event backstage.
About The Awards
The awards have become one of the most glittering nights in Scotland’s events calendar and this weekend saw the gathering and shoulder rubbing of the cream of Scotland’s most stylish creatives, including actors, fashion designers, musicians, models and entrepreneurs. In association with Moet Chandon and hosted by Actress Pollyanna McIntosh at Glasgow’s stunning Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, the event has become a benchmark for rewarding creative excellence.

Lead By Dylan Brittain
Lead by Rainbow Room International’s British Hairdressing Awards Scottish Hairdressers of the Year Dylan Brittain, the Rainbow Room International team provided inspired looks throughout the ‘Harris Tweed Hebrides Deich Bliadhna X Ten Years’ and ‘Cruise Spring Summer 2018 Runway Show’. The team worked their magic on the models hair creating a range of different looks including hairstyles with lots of texture and movement and sleek hairstyles including chic, low buns, ensuring they all looked phenomenal strutting down the catwalk.
The Big Winners
Some of the evening’s big winners were visual artist, Rachel Maclean, who won Most Stylish Woman, artist and writer, John Byrne, who won Most Stylist Man at the age of 78. A special lifetime achievement award went to Glasgow hotelier, Ken McCulloch, who opened the city’s Devonshire Garden Hotel and the Malmaison hotel and created the Dakota brand. All richly deserved.
