Young stars
The 34-strong Aitch & Aitch team along with friends and family gathered at their luxurious West Wickham salon in Kent in the name of Young Talent Of The Year.
Compering the evening was Suzie Barker, Creative Team lead, and Dannii Howard, Trainer, who opened the evening introducing all apprentices and special guests.
The student competition this year was a three part affair covering men’s trends, women’s classic looks and avant garde complete with moodboards. Running consecutively, judges had the opportunity to view the work close up and ask questions during every part of the competition.
Joined and judged by UNITE Education Team Member Antony Rawlings with salon owner Samuel Oliver, the winner was announced as Tilly Bennett who won the coveted Student Of The Year trophy along with a brand new Transformer by Keratin Complex, while all competitors received new release UNITE 7SECONDS Essentials Tote bag.
On winning the top title this year Tilly said: “My hard word paid off, I feel really proud of myself.”
Suzie added: “James’ [Salon owner James Hallahan] passion for education really shone through last night, and looking around the room, it seemed like there were 50 proud parents looking on.”
