QFEST 2025
QFest, the annual event held by Q Hair and Beauty, Chichester’s multi-award winning salon, also celebrated the 80th birthday of founder and owner Anthony Barnes-Smith.
Anthony has always been determined to create a caring and supportive environment for all his staff, providing them with first-class training and support combining traditional skills with state-of-the art techniques.
“Celebrating Anthony’s 80th birthday is a true honour. I feel proud and privileged to have shared more than 30 years alongside him, building and nurturing our wonderful brand together. His vision, passion, and spirit continues to inspire us all,”
– Dawn Lawrence, Q’s Director.

The birthday celebrations took place in the gardens of the Chichester salon’s beautiful, historic townhouse. The day opened at 11am with a locally sourced breakfast, courtesy of Hoxton
Bakery, followed by the first group team meeting. The second meeting was split into focused subgroups where each group was tasked with generating new ideas for how to manage stock, new treatments and services, as well as a new identity for the newly redecorated basement salon in Chichester. The afternoon session was centred around Anthony’s remarkable career journey.
