It was party time all over Chichester on the evening of Thursday, August 22 – and Q Hair and Beauty was at the heart of the lively event. 

Street Party 

The Summer Street Party saw the city’s streets filled with music, fun and a host of colourful stalls. One of the biggest individual attractions was Q’s complimentary braiding and plaiting stand which drew hundreds of people of all ages.

Amazing Response

“We started the day with two stylists on the stand but it quickly became very popular and we soon had a queue lined up all down the street,” said Kain Lawrence, Q’s general manager. “In the end we had six stylists working the stand and completed over 200 braids throughout the evening. The response was amazing.”

First of Its Kind

The street party was part of a Love Local, Shop Local summer campaign and proved a huge success. “The event was the first of its kind I’ve ever seen in Chichester and the city was full of hustle and bustle, with everyone seeming to really enjoy it,” said Kain.

50 Years

“We are very proud to say we have been on the high street in Chichester for almost 50 years, so the community is in our heart. We love taking the team out of the salon and supporting events like this, that brings the city together and keeping the high street alive & buzzing”
