PROJECTS FINALE
The Fellowship for British Hairdressing held its annual Projects Grand Finale to celebrate their hard-work and achievements throughout the year.
Over the past 12 months, the Fellowship Projects have untaken a series of mentoring and education days which were organised by their Project Leader, as an opportunity to grow and develop their skills.
Showcase
The Projects Grand Finale is one of the most anticipated dates in the Fellowship’s calendar as the Projects come together to present a showcase of their journey as a Fellowship Projects Member, providing a showcase for the emerging talent that has been nurtured and developed throughout the year. The Projects
Each project from ClubStar Art Team, Project Men & Media, Project Extend, Project Afro, Project Sassoon, Project X, Project Colour and The F.A.M.E. Team took the audience on a creative journey that presents their own individual journey as part of their chosen Project. This allowed the Project Members to showcase the trends, techniques, skills, and knowledge that they have acquired from some of the industry’s leading professionals throughout their mentoring days.
Catwalk
The Projects spent their day prepping their models before a catwalk show in front of industry peers and colleagues. During their presentations, the Project Members revealed what they had learnt over the past year, alongside what they were taking back to the salon and how the project had changed their life. They also thanked their mentors, who spent time with them to building their skills, confidence, and abilities, whilst pushing them out of their comfort zone and encouraging them give it their all!
The Venue
The evening was held at the House of Sassoon in Soho, and was hosted by the Fellowship’s Vice-President, Michelle Griffin, who acknowledged how incredibly hard the each of the Projects had worked, the experience that they had gained and applauded the Projects for throwing themselves into something new.
Future Generations
“The Projects Grand Finale is an incredible reflection of the work we do at the Fellowship – cultivating and nurturing the future generations of talent. Every Project Member should be incredibly proud of how far they have come, the work that was showcased on the night was a credit their hard-work and dedication. I also want to thank our mentors who take time out of their day to share their knowledge and expertise with the Project Members. Congratulations everyone!” – Ashleigh Hodges, the President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.
