How long have you owned your salon?
I’ve owned Safy B’s for 8 and a half years now, and it’s been the most incredible journey
Tell us a little about your salon.
At Safy B’s, we’re all about everything hair. Within our team of 7, we all have our own things we love most, whether it’s creative cuts, styling, or colouring. But in our area, we’re definitely known for one thing: colouring. It’s kind of our signature.
This year has been absolutely insane for us! We won Colour Salon of the Year, and Colourist of the Year for the 5th year in a row, which on top of that, two of my team, Macy, won New Talent, and Sophie, Creative Image award. But Sophie didn’t stop there, she also took the Gold New Talent title at the Goldwell Creative Awards UK and went on to win the Global Gold title for 2024, too. The whole team was buzzing, it’s been such a proud moment for all of us.
How long have you been a customer of Phorest?
We’ve been with Phorest for 6 years now, and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made for the salon.
What do you love about using the Phorest Software?
What’s not to love? It’s like a one-stop shop for everything we need. The way it works with inventory, stock, marketing, online booking, and reports is just brilliant. It makes running the salon so much easier. And the interface? It’s so user-friendly and easy to navigate, not just for me but for the whole team. It’s transformed how we operate day-to-day.
How many times have you attended the Summit?
2024 was our first time attending, and we absolutely loved it!

I went with my husband, who is also my business partner.
Why do you love attending the Summit?
It’s so inspiring being surrounded by other salon owners and professionals who are all as passionate as you are. The energy in the room is just next level, and you always leave feeling so motivated and full of ideas. Plus, it’s a great chance to step away from the day-to-day and focus on the big picture. Hearing some fantastic speakers over the two days is always a highlight—you come away with so much to think about and implement. And the Bingo Loco in the evening – it’s such a laugh and the perfect way to wind down with everyone. It’s the kind of experience that makes the Summit unforgettable!
What takeaways do you usually learn when you attend?
There’s always something practical you can take back to the salon, whether it’s a new strategy for client loyalty, ways to improve the team’s workflow, or fresh marketing ideas. The speakers are always so on point with what’s happening in the industry.
Is there anything stand-out from the Summits that you’ve taken away?
We straight away brought Vish into the salon after speaking to them and seeing how well it integrates with Phorest, it’s been a total game changer for us. We can’t recommend Vish highly enough to everyone we speak to now! We also started working with Salon Green Collective, another Phorest partner, which has been amazing for our sustainability goals. Plus, to getting an insight into what’s coming up in the future for Phorest, like new features, and how these will help us even more within the salon. Knowing what’s ahead makes us feel even more excited and prepared to grow!
