The Fellowship for British Hairdressing has announced the semi-finalists for the 2026 Ann Herman Scholarship, continuing its commitment to nurturing emerging talent and developing the next generation of industry presenters.

 
Created in honour of the late Ann Herman (a respected figure who spent more than 40 years producing and curating live events for the Fellowship), the scholarship celebrates her legacy of championing excellence in education and stage work. Known for both her high standards and unwavering support of talent, Herman played a pivotal role in shaping some of the industry’s most recognised names.
 
Designed to identify and support confident communicators, the scholarship focuses on developing presentation skills across both intimate and large-scale platforms, offering participants the opportunity to refine their stage presence and industry voice.
 

 
Last year’s recipient, Laszlo Roman, was recognised at HAIRCON 2025 and has since used the platform to elevate his live performance and stage skills.

The 2026 Semi-Finalists:
Jordan Heyes, Finlee Spearing, Alexandra Bamber, Katy Hoston, Kirby Blythe, Lucy Melvin, Shruty Stephenson and Zoe Gaitley.
 
The successful candidate will gain access to mentorship from leading industry figures, alongside opportunities to host and present at key Fellowship events including HAIRCON, the F.A.M.E. Team Semi-Finals and Finals, Projects Finale, Creative XChange and Hair & Vision.

The semi-finals for the 2026 scholarship will take place on 11 May, with finalists progressing to a live on-stage final on 14 June at HAIRCON, held at O2 Victoria Warehouse. The judging panel will include Simon Shaw, Debbie Gee, Errol Douglas, James Parr and Stacey Wright.

With a strong focus on communication, confidence and creativity, the Ann Herman Scholarship continues to play a key role in preparing future industry leaders for the spotlight.
