Academy Hair Salons in Surrey staged an in-salon competition with a theme of Vision for SS/14.
Meryl Thompson and her assistant Millie Horobin from Academy, Cobham won first place with a combination or supernatural and experimental. The male model’s look incorporated shaved sides alongside a perfect quiff infused with subtle autumnal hues. The girls included crown shaped embellishments to create a royal vision for 2014 – wearable but with a very strong statement.
Meryl said: “I really enjoyed using new colours and techniques on our models and we managed to create a theme that really appealed to the judges and I’m so proud that we won!” Their prize is to create their own photo shoot for Academy Salon.
Salv Mule, Salon Director said: “The idea for the evening was to give the team more confidence with presentation work; it was also great for education, motivation and inspiration.”
