For A/W 2024, Huishan Zhang explores and celebrates the conflicting personalities and sartorial signatures of Ingrid Bergman and Anna Magnani, romantic rivals in a legendary cinematic feud.

Hair was inspired by these Actresses with an integrated grunge vibe and Alfred Hitchcock-inspired elements, while delicately nodding to the elegance of the 1940s. The result? A mesmerizing juxtaposition of slick wet-look with soft shapes, texture and movement.

The location of the Banqueting house meant a restriction on product usage so hair looks had to be created without the use or hot tools or aerosols. The creative genius behind Indola’s hair looks, Johanna Cree Brown used a selection of products to achieve the desired aesthetic.

The ensemble was further enhanced by the application of Curl Cream, Strong Mousse, Texture Glue, and Fibre mold to shape and mould the hair into a chic, modern 1940’s grunge.
