New professional hair festival, HairCon is bringing back the iconic 90’s BBC TV makeover show, Style Challenge, but with a new twist.

Taking place from 22nd-24th June in the iconic O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, HairCon promises to be an unforgettable experience with a mind-blowing line-up of Artists, including iconic Stylists including Jack & The Wolfe, Errol Douglas, Heffy, SLK Bleach, and Desmond Murray along with the legendary barber heroes Alan Beak, Cal Newsome and Josh Lamonaca, to name but a few.

Prepare for your perceptions of both the industry and your business to be completely transformed by immersive stage sessions, evening shows and entertainment which will in equal parts inspire and revitalise your passion.

History
Style Challenge was a BBC1 Daytime make-over show, which ran on weekday mornings from 1996-98. Contributors had a clothes, hair and make-up makeover. The key format point was a revolving mirror, meaning that the Contributors could not see their transformation until the very end of the show.

But That Was Then…

HairCon is bringing back Style Challenge but with a difference as they remodel the concept. Sponsored by the Fellowship the focus is now on the Hairdresser not the Contestant. Industry giants of all ages will pitch against the clock – demonstrating the talent and vision that makes them global, social or education leaders. Be prepared for uber cool transformations and unexpected collaborations.

New Spin

Many of those who took part went on to launch their own product lines and gain global success.
