Haircare Businessman makes his TV debut
Surrey based entrepreneur Rob Young recently made his TV debut when he had the opportunity to showcase his incredible hair tool brand, Click n Curl, and pitch for investment to the Dragons in BBC’s hit TV show, Dragons’ Den.
Wanted Investment
However, with big plans for the brand, Rob always had one objective in mind. He wanted investment – and Dragons’ Den was the platform he had always envisioned. “I absolutely love Dragons’ Den. I love everything about it – the passion and enthusiasm of the entrepreneurs who literally leave themselves exposed for the most intense scrutiny, and the Dragons’ who are the most business savvy people you will ever meet,” says Rob.
Invited To Pitch
Having filed an application for the show, Rob was invited to pitch. He invited his colleague and original inventor or Click n Curl from the US, Kim Nimsgern, to join him in his quest for investment. “We were incredibly well prepared, and I was quietly confident about going on the show but stepping into the Den is the most petrifying thing I have ever done,” he says.
Honoured
“The experience was genuinely something that money can’t buy. It was brilliant being on the show and I am so honoured to have had the opportunity to be part of one of the most successful shows on TV,” says Rob.
Dragons’ Den was aired on BBC Two on Sunday, November 25th to where Rob Young pitched to Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Jenny Campbell, Tej Lalvani and Touker Suleyman. Watch it on catch-up.
