Golden Globes 2025 Hair Trends
Some of our industry faves take a look at this year’s Golden Globes’ hair trends.
Harry Andreou, TONI&GUY Winchester
“Selena Gomez’s hair is the epitome of vintage Hollywood glamour, perfectly complementing her elegant style and creating a timeless look. The sleek waves and flawless finish are not only chic but also flatter with her off-the-shoulder gown.
The hairstyle is a brilliant choice. The structured waves and glossy texture go beautifully with her dress. The off-the-shoulder detail frames her face and shoulders, while the hair adds a touch of classic glamour. This look is absolutely on-trend with the current revival of retro aesthetics but with a modern polish that keeps it fresh and relevant.
It is surprisingly wearable for special occasions. The sleek finish and controlled waves work on most hair textures, provided you’ve prepped the hair correctly. While it looks polished, it’s also practical as the structure ensures it stays in place throughout the event.”
Get The Look
1 Start with freshly washed, smooth hair. Apply a heat protectant and a lightweight styling cream for added shine and control.
2 Blow-dry the hair using a round brush to create volume at the roots and a smooth base.
3 Use a medium-barrel curling iron or a heated styling brush to create structured waves. Focus on making the waves consistent by curling sections in the same direction.
4 Once cooled, gently brush through the curls with a boar-bristle brush to soften them into elegant waves.
5 Apply a high-shine finishing spray or serum for a glossy effect, and use a strong-hold hairspray to lock the style in place.
6 To give the look a modern twist, tuck one side behind the ear and secure it with a discreet pin or accessory for added sophistication.
Annabel Payne, Newcomer of the Year
“A fringe has been a firm trend over the past few seasons, however last night Arianna Grande opted for a shorter option compared to what we have seen recently. Choosing a shorter fringe has opened up her face more and really accentuated her bone structure and petite features without overpowering. I also think they’ve done a great job of creating a softness within the look rather than going too strong by making the fringe too square, this makes it much more wearable for anyone. The sleek ponytail is a great timeless addition to the look that also gives a nod to her signature looks over the years and can also easily recreated at home. The warm tones within her hair compliment the tones of her dress to make everything work together perfectly.”

“Emm Stone revealed a new red pixie on the red carpet and after usually seeing her with longer hair, it was a nice surprise. Both the cut and the colour suited her and by wearing a red dress also highlighted the colour. Hopefully this will inspire women everywhere to let go of their long hair, show that short hair can look feminine and try something different for 2025!”
