Wella Professionals has launched XPOSURE 2014 – the ultimate competition for hairdressing students. And with the number of entries having tripled over the last couple of years, it is one of the most sought after competitions for hairdressing students.

Challenged with creating a commercial cut and colour, students first compete in their own inter-college photographic competition, with the top five entries then competing in the National Photographic Heat. At the next stage of the competition, the best 80 students are invited to recreate their looks in one of the four Regional Heats with one hour to style the hair.

The best 20 students then battle it out in the National Final at the World Studio London for the title of Gold, Silver and Bronze XPOSURE winners. The winners get a host of fantastic prizes, with a ‘money-can’t-buy’ opportunity for the Gold winner to shadow a top hairdresser for the day.

The 2013 winner Melissa Mellor, Stafford College, Stafford got the unique opportunity to shadow Jayson Gray and Maria Galati, Toni&Guy and the Wella Trend Vision Award UK Final.

“Spending the entire day with the team backstage at the Trend Vision Award UK Final was absolutely amazing and an experience I’ll never forget,” says Melissa.
