RAINBOW ROOM INTERNATIONAL HOLD TEAM WELLNESS DAY
Rainbow Room International invited the teams across the salon group to the Rainbow Room International Academy situated on Howard Street, Glasgow, for an interesting and interactive Wellness Day.
The day started with a 45-minute presentation from Becky Donnachie from Terrence Higgins Trust on
Transgender Awareness and the LGBT community, a very educational session to help the team to
communicate better.
Developing Awareness
The day followed with a 3-hour interactive session with Claire and Shona, Owners of West End Physio, who as specialist Physiotherapists, have a wealth of experience in body aches/pains and especially persistent back/neck pain. Claire and Shona debunked some myths around neck and back pain and provided some practical movement hacks for hairdressers. They also discussed with the team how to develop better body awareness on and off the job, how your day in the salon affects you and your body, what keeps you well with an action plan and the relationship between physical and mental health.
