GOLDWELL & KMS COLLABORATE WITH THE LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION TO INVIGORATE & INSPIRE SALONS THIS FESTIVE SEASON
This winter, the team at Kao Salon Division – the home for brands like Goldwell, KMS and Kerasilk, have pulled together an array of Christmas Gift Sets, packed with powerful products to help consumers and their loved ones look and feel fresh this festive season.
London College of Fashion
In addition to the gift sets, which include Goldwell Rich Repair, KMS Add Volume, and Kerasilk Control, the brand is on a mission to get consumers into salons for expert care in winter hair issues, and seasonal hair inspiration. With the ambition to let every Kao salon sparkle on the high street this Christmas, the brand collaborated with London College of Fashion, UAL inviting students to create sustainable Christmas Wonderland décor and gift packs – re-crafted from their product delivery boxes to ensure sustainability and creativity was at the heart of the in salon experience.
Sustainable Footprints
The partnership with LCF and our focus on creating up-cycled collateral instore, is another step by Kao to ensure its sustainable footprint is ever growing. It’s a further nod to Kaos ambition to become 100% sustainable and echoes the commitment laid out in the Kirei Lifestyle Plan. The plan was devised to ensure that by 2030, the business is fully sustainable and playing a pivotal role in fighting and reducing the global impact of climate change.
Magic of Christmas
Students of LCF’s Fashion Business School were briefed to combine Kao’s approach to sustainability and the spirit of Christmas and design an innovative and inspiring installation that salons could easily put together to create their own Winter Wonderland. And all this was undertaken with students working remotely in teams across the globe because of Covid19! From reindeers to fir trees, the teams used their own backgrounds and memories to bring the magic of Christmas to life through a range of quick to build festive decorations – and all created from recyclable packaging.
The four winning students will now have their sustainable creations produced and dispatched with Christmas orders, giving the opportunity for display in Kao partner salons across Europe.
Lifestyle Programme
Liz Gee, Interim Dean of LCF’s Fashion Business School, said “Collaborating with Kao on this project was a wonderful opportunity for the students.
