Brian MacMillan, Salon Director, F&M Hairdressing
“With the recent developments within the Covid19 virus, we are working with our team to ensure safety for those who visit the salon and of course those who work within the salon. Our salon is disinfected daily however we have upped this in light of recent events to ensure every precaution is taken. Each work station is thoroughly disinfected after each use along with each gown, all staff or washing their hands before and after services and hand sanitizer is readily available to everyone via non-touch sensor distributors. Our client and teams safety is a priority to us here at F&M and it’s our duty of care to ensure we go to all lengths to create a corona free salon”.
ROBERT DEMPSEY BRUCE, OWNER AT ROKU
“We want to ensure clients we are taking their health seriously. All staff have been given hand sanitizer to use continuously and we are regularly sterilising door handles, chairs, backwashes etc. with our staff and clients’ health and wellbeing our main concern. At ROKU we have taken away all reading material such as books and magazines but encourage clients to bring their own or use our free Wi-Fi to read online due to the recent virus outbreak and try to keep our staff and clients as safe as we can.
Deep Clean
We already have high standards for keeping our businesses clean, but efforts have been increased because of coronavirus. We do a thorough deep clean in the morning, but now we are cleaning every hour. Disinfecting doorknobs, bathrooms, and all surfaces that clients touch. Every station has been equipped with hand sanitizer to help kill bacteria. We wash our hands in-between clients, but its even more important to make sure that everyone is reminded to do so. We have also suspended our cancellation fee so that clients don’t feel pressured to come to their appointment if they feel sick or are afraid of getting the virus”.
Simon Hill, SESH Hairdressing
“At SESH Hairdressing our priority is the wellbeing of our customers and we are assuring everyone that we are doing our upmost to maintain this. In light of the pandemic announcement we have requested that where possible clients refrain from paying in cash. This will reduce the amount of handling of cash our team are required to do as well as limiting the touching of hands between clients and team members too.
All staff are washing their hands for more than twenty seconds before and after each client appointment and we are offering hand sanitiser to all clients in order to put their mind at rest. Furthermore we have issued a statement on social media to communicate the above and also offer clients the option to cancel their appointment with no ill feeling or fee from our side should they feel unwell or have been travelling recently. We continue to be of support to all team members and clients in this difficult time”.
