WESTROW TO COMPETE IN THE GREAT NORTH RUN FOR MARTIN HOUSE
Ten staff members from the award-winning, Yorkshire-based salon group Westrow, which boasts eight salons across the region and an educational Academy in Leeds, are set to compete in the Great North Run on Sunday 11 September 2016.
Following on from Westrow Director Marc Westerman’s success in completing the Great North Run in 2014 and 2015, the team, consisting of junior and senior staff members from each of the group’s salons, will don ‘Team Westrow’ printed vests to undertake the 13.1 mile half marathon in the North East of England.
Westrow will be running to raise money for charity in loving memory of Westrow staff that have sadly passed away. This year’s target is £5,000 and funds will be going to local charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice, which cares for children with life-limiting conditions.
Says Marc Westerman: “I’m thrilled so many of our staff have chosen to join me in this year’s Great North Run. We have been training really hard over the last few months and are determined to exceed our ￡5,000 target for Martin House Children’s Hospice.”
