Stunning hair looks inspired by vintage accessories will be created by Covent Garden salon, Giannasso, for a special auction preview of vintage accessories.

Sergio Giannasso, owner of Giannasso Hair And Beauty, is joining forces with his near neighbour, silver dealer Daniel Bexfield, to help showcase the beautiful Objects of Desire, collated by Prudence Hopkins, from Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers.

With wonderful bags, glasses and other accessories on show from the past decades, Sergio has been tasked with creating complementary looks for both the hair and make-up for the models who will be showing the collection.

From fifties flicks right through to the big hair of the eighties, Sergio and his team will help bring to life the stunning pieces that have been carefully put together by Prudence.

As well as the pieces being modelled, visitors to the event will be able to see an online preview of the whole sale via screens and there is also a chance to place early bids!

Prudence said: “It’s exciting because we all bring complementary skills and knowledge, as well as our own audiences, together to promote what we do. And everyone can have fun while we do it.”

Sergio is equally excited and is now busy researching the looks he will create on the night. Seeing some of the pieces that will feature in the sale has inspired ideas already being tried out by the team.

He said: “The pieces we have seen are just beautiful and are timeless classics. I couldn’t bear to part with some of the bags!

“We want to do justice to the incredible craftsmanship and work that goes into each and every one.

“I know my clients will be thrilled to have this chance to view the collection and of course, place bids. It’s a unique event and a wonderful opportunity to work with other local businesses.”

The Objects of Desire Auction Preview evening takes place on June 21 at 6pm at Daniel Bexfield Antiques, 5 Cecil Court, Covent Garden, London WC2N 4EZ
