Winchmores Hair & Beauty goes PINK
Great Lengths certified salon Winchmores Hair & Beauty have dedicated the month of October to their #WINCHMORESWEARITPINK campaign to raise funds and create conversation to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With an original target of £500, Winchmores, their dedicated team and their willing and generous clients managed to double their target raising a grand total of £1,200 which will go directly to Breast Cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
How Did They Do It?
Throughout October, Winchmores encouraged clients to have a single pink Great Lengths bond applied. With each bond a £5 donation was required to support Breast Cancer Now. Salon Manager, Melissa Shannon comments, “We have many clients, friends and family who have been affected by Breast Cancer. Although Coronavirus is at the forefront of our minds, we did not want to let this affect the very important fundraising efforts that are helping to treat and eradicate the many other illnesses we face as a society. Our hope was that a single pink strand would start the conversation and remind as many people as possible how important it is to regularly check their breasts”.
Incredible Work

Constant Support
Clients, regular and new, old and young were keen to support and are now showing off proudly their pink strands. Clients also comment on the #WINCHMORESWEARITPINK campaign, “As soon as I knew Winchmores were supporting Breast Cancer Now I knew I had to get involved… After losing my mum to breast cancer 5 years ago it’s a charity very close to my heart.
