THE F.A.M.E. TEAM SPEND THE DAY WITH ADAM REED
Adam Reed, award-winning hairdresser and founding partner of Percy & Reed, spent the day with the F.A.M.E. team on Tuesday 31st May at ghd in London. Little introduction was needed as Jamie, Melissa, Rosie and Zoe settled down for the morning. Adam’s passion for hair was clear from the offset as he conveyed his own career path while also creating numerous looks on his model from a classic chignon to an editorial plait.
After a quick break everyone returned to try out some of the techniques for themselves. Adam showcased his incredible kit bag and the team were given the opportunity to use some of his own tools.
The day was certainly packed full of information but was also personally tailored to the team themselves. “I came away from the day feeling incredibly inspired. He talked us through the different aspects of hairdressing and how he creates looks for live TV shows and catwalk shows, while also running his own salons,” said Rosie Binns, Ethos Hairdressing. “It was amazing for us to meet another hair icon that has had such a fascinating career. We got to try out techniques using his own equipment and we left with a huge shopping list for our own kits!”
Antony Licata, F.A.M.E. Team Project Leader, said: “Adam showcased a multitude of skill sets to create some amazing editorial imagery. A past F.A.M.E. Team member himself, he gave an insight into his own career path, and the inspiration The Fellowship experience has given him.”
