ClubStar, the new youth membership scheme from the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, kicked off this Monday with an event at the hob Academy in Camden.

Hosted by British Men’s Hairdresser of the Year, Jamie Stevens and compared by Sean Dawson, ex-Fellowship President and Manager of hob Camden, the evening saw the hob young creative team share their inspiration and their techniques with a packed audience of young hair professionals.

The creative team included 2008 Clothes Show Live Young Hairdresser of the Year, Megan Zarrabi, Wella Professionals International Trend Vision 08 Colour Award Winner, D’nae Udall, Wella Professionals Trend Vision 08 Young Talent Award winner, Alex Green, Wella Professionals UK Trend Vision Colour Finalist, Lindsay Grossman and Lee Mamo.

Claire Dawson, Sean Dawson, Darren Bain and Christel Lundqvist from hob also showcased some of their current work.

The team created 12 outstanding looks that took in cut, colour, hair-up and dressing in this high impact inaugural ClubStar event.

“Hob did an outstanding job and our ClubStar members were blown away,” says ClubStar Ambassador Jamie Stevens. “This is the first of a programme of events we plan to offer to our new membership and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”

At the end of the evening one lucky attendee Harriet Slade of Strangeways, won the prize draw of a place on a two day cutting course taught by British Hairdresser of the Year Akin Konizi at the HOB Camden academy.

ClubStar is aimed at young stylists, who are between 17 and 22 years of age and want to gain industry information and inspiration.
