Chris Appleton of George's Hairdressing Leicester has beaten off competition from hundreds of other hopefuls to win BBC Three's Young Hairdresser of the Year.
The competition culmintaed on Monday night in a final which the BBC described as 'tougher than any day in the salon'.
Judged by industry experts Adee Phelan and Beverly C, hundreds of entrants competed to win the prestigious title. The competitors took part in four rounds designed to test his skills, knowledge, ability and passion for hairdressing to the max.
"This competition has been an amazing journey," said Chris, "every stage meant a new challenge, but I was determined to prove myself. To win the final is such an incredible achievement, I'm really excited!"
