A Durham salon has walked away with the esteemed Essential Looks Award 2010. Announced at the Essential Looks event, held in Manchester, Janet Maitland Hair Excellence in Durham beat 15 top styling teams from across the country for the prize.
The brief for each team, which were made up of strictly salon team members only, was to create their favourite Eseential Looks interpretation of the latest collections from Schwarzkopf Professional.
They then had to present their look in fron of a 200 strong audience and a team of industry expert judges including Sharon Peake of Ethos Hairdressing.
Impressing the judges with their interpretation of the ‘Uniform’ collection from Essential Looks the team from Janet Maitland was made up of: Rochelle Summerson-Wright, Suzanne Hegerty, Amanda Gibbons, Leanne Jordan and Lauren Adey.
“This was a tremendous victory,” commented Stephen McDowell Schwarzkopf’s Technical Manager, “having just joined forces with Schwarzkopf Proffesional earlier this year and a really exciting start to their budding relationship.”
