Saddle up and pick up the challenge as The Hairdressers’ Charity announces its 2017 Bike Ride fundraising break. This year’s charity bike ride will take place in Cesanatico, near Bologna – the Italian mecca of cycling and home of the legendary road racing cycling Marco Pantani – and caters for all levels of cycling.

Places cost £400 for four nights (Sunday 24th to Thursday 28th September 2017) and includes food and drinks on a half board basis, transfers from Bologna (one hour) to Hotel Riz in the beautiful harbour town of Cesanatico, free sun beds on a private beach, top carbon fibre hire bikes, support vehicle, and guides for mixed ability and bespoke routes. Plus a free laundry for cycle gear each evening.

In addition to the trip costs, fundraisers need to organise their own flights and a minimum donation of £250 to The Hairdressers’ Charity.

Based on the Italian coast, the immediate cycling is flat but 20km inland the hills begin so it’s an ideal route for mixed ability groups. There will be three expert local bikes guides who will create fun, challenging and rewarding rides whilst touring beautiful scenic routes. The rides will vary between the different abilities within the group, with gently undulating coastal roads, to full-on adventures into the foothills and beyond.

With only 50 places, spaces are expected to go fast, so do start to plan ahead!
