Sam Robinson

The NHF’s prestigious Photographic Stylist of the Year competition is back for its 14th year and is open for entrants to submit a show-stopping image suitable for the front cover of a magazine or a collection. Stylists and barbers of all levels can enter both professional and non-professional images to be in with a chance of winning the competition that was designed to inspire creativity with the industry.

How To Enter

To enter, entrants submit an image or a collection of images to showcase their styling skills and techniques before 7 September 2018. An expert panel will make their selection before the finalists are announced on 18 September 2018. The winners will be unveiled at the NHF’s Business Awards dinner on Sunday 4 November in Manchester.

The categories Include

  • Male and fashion Look – open to all (non-professional photography)
  • Male and female fashion look – (professional photography)
  • Male and female fashion look collection – (professional photography)

Time For Change

NHF president Agnes Leonard said: “2018 has been a time for change. For the first time we have a category dedicated to non-professional images to make the competition even more accessible to talented stylists who might not have had the opportunity to attend or host a professional photo shoot.

Rise In Popularity

“The Photographic Stylist of the Year competition continues to rise in popularity with those wanting to give their career a boost and to enhance their reputation as well as the reputation of the salon they work for. We can’t wait to see what the entries will bring this year once they start flooding in!”

This year’s Photographic Stylist of the Year competition prize has been sponsored by Andis. For further information on the Photographic Stylist of the Year competition and to enter, visit NHF here.
