KG SALONS INTRODUCES BLUE LIGHT CARD & QUIET TIME TO CLIENTS
Katie Godfrey, Owner of the award-winning KG Salons in Barton Le Clay has just introduced ‘KG Quiet Time’ in salon.
Prioritising Mental Health
“It goes without saying that mental health is extremely important, and we recognise that it can be daunting for some people to come into a salon and sit with someone they don’t know for an hour. This has also been heightened in the past year through lockdown, with the concept of having to socialise causing anxiety and stress. KG Salons prioritises our clients’ experience, so clients can now add ‘KG Quiet Time’ to their booking and they will be left to relax whilst the therapist concentrates on completing their treatment with no questions asked. We know that conversely, the salon is a place to chat and share worries for other clients, and we always here to listen and support. But this new initiative gives clients the chance to actively make that choice and be confident that they can have a quiet appointment if that’s what works for them,” says Katie.
Blue Light Card Initiative
KG Salons is also now part of the ‘Blue Light Card Initiative’, enabling the salon to give back to the NHS, Emergency Services, Social Care and Armed Forces staff that have, and are still working hard during this challenging period by offering discounted services. To thank them, KG Salon offers 10% discount off their services for all Blue Light Card holders.
Katie Godfrey is the powerhouse behind the KG brand, single-handedly building her empire from a single salon bought aged 19 as a school leaver with no qualifications, to a chain of salons, a UK-wide beauty training academy, an eyelash product range and a salon coaching business. Having opened her Bedfordshire based salon in 2009, KG Salons has been recognised in numerous, prestigious industry awards including winner of the ‘Client Experience Award’ and ‘Best Beauty Salon – Bedfordshire’ in 2018.
